Questions about my new z68 +2500k build

Hey guys, I have finally got my system up and running and I have a few questions. I am coming from a q6600@3.2ghz and my new system is a z68 + 2500k combo with 16gbs ram and hd6850 gpu. Anyways, I wanted to know if there was a temp bug as my chip is overclocked to 4.2ghz and is only showing 49C while at 100%(encoding with handbrake). Not that I am complaining but I doubt that it actually runs that cool as I was expecting closer to 65C with the mild overclock.

Also, while encoding it doesn't seem much faster than my old q6600. Is there some sort of setting in the bios(IGPU) or a driver I need to install?

what cooler are you using? stock intel? they dont get hot anyway those chips

are all cores enabled? look in task manager/performance

All for cores are at 100% with handbrake running in the background and the cooler is a Noctua D14....I just figured the encoding would be much faster with this setup.

Is there a temp bug by any chance? I get the same reading with CoreTemp and Speedfan.

temp is right for that cooler imo

idk about encoding,it should be quicker,but would be even more so with a 2600k and multithreading,i cant say much as i dont encode

you just need to overclock the cpu higher,4.5-4.8ghz should be doable,then the encoding would be faster

ohh i think you can use lucid virtue,the cpu's built in gpu alongside your cpu to encode? install the lucid virtue drivers not sure as i dont use it
