When you are formatting your hdd are you using MBR or GPT? for a 3tb drive you need to be using GPT as MBR is limited to 2tb.

In Disk Management, right click on the drive in the bottom window left side where is says Disk #. If you already have it formated it will say convert to GPT other wise delete all partitions on drive and then right click and it should say something else to the effect of setting the drive up as GPT.

I dont know why the bios knocked out your activation, it should not have. You may have to call MS to reactivate. Just tell then you did a bios update and it knocked off your activation, if they ask. If they dont ask then dont tell![]()

I have 1 question.
I'm having a little problem with my i7 930
CPU-Z said that I'm having 2 cores 4 thread but I know the CPU was fine ( 4 cores 8 thread) before the flash.
Is that possible that the bios I used may be corrupted ? I really have 2 cores disable (maybe dead, I hope not)

When you flashed, did you disable "Keep DMI Pool Data" and load optimized defaults after first boot?
If not flash again this time make sure to disable keep dmi pool data.
1. flash bios.
2. enter bios and load optimized defaults.
3 Press F10 to save and exit.
4. enter bios and only change ram timings and voltages, set sata to AHCI or raid depending how you installed windows.
5. Press F10 to save and exit.
6. Enter bios and changed HDD boot order.
7 Press F10 to save and exit.
Let the system boot to windows verify all cores are enabled.
Shut the system down or restart and then enter bios and reaply overclock settings.
