Hello,

I have 2x GA-M56S-S3 with same fault.

They both have strange overheating issue.

They were overheating while runing prime till CPU reached shutdown temp 5 min.

So i changed thermal paste on cpu itself.

That didnt help so i found the Chipset paste should be changed and did that.

So now it runs prime for about 30-60 minutes till MCP temp reaches 70 and then CPU temp rockets to 110 and shuts off.

I put ZM-STG2 on the chipset and i must say chipset is runing hot.

Athlon 64 4400+
CPU idle 39 C
Ambient idle 45 C
MCP idle 45 C

Is MCP located in Chipset????

So any adivice how should i solve that?
