    Default GA-F2A85X-Up4 Problems

I have a GA-F2A85X-Up4 motherboard with a A10-5800K Trinity CPU. Problem #1 is the top two USB 3.0 Ports on the motherboard stopped working. Problem #2 I have a code AO on the board. Every thing was working until the two upper USB 3.0 ports stopped working. Don't know when the AO code showed up on the board. Have tried to solve the problems with no success any help would be good.

Check the windows Device Manager to see if there are any problems with the usb 3.0 devices (yellow icons) or if they report a problem with loading the driver. Your motherboard user manual should have a list of all diagnostic codes, see what it says.

Hopefully one of the few very knowledgeable AMD forum members can give you more help.

I found out some how the drivers for the USB 3.0 ended up missing. Reinstalled them and now all is well. As far as the AO code have not found what is causing it but it does not seam to make a difference. Thanks for the input.

From page 91 in your mobo user manual, A0 = IDE initialization is started.
This seems to be a status code, not an error code.
Glad to hear that that everything is now OK with your usb 3.0 ports.

Thank you profJim for your reply. When i first saw the AO code i did check my Gigabyte book for the code. I went through the BIOS to see if i could find anything that would account for the code. I had no luck finding anything that i thought was the cause. I contacted my son which went to school for computers and builds them for a hobby and for some special builds. He spent quite some time checking things out and could not solve the code problem. He advised me not to worry about it because it was not hurting anything. In searching the internet i have seen a lot of people other people with that code on ASUS and Gigabyte mother boards. My be i will solve the mystery someday.
