is it a sata drive or ide? tried plugging the dvd drive on different sata ports? if your in ahci mode and the dvd drive is ide it can cause it to disappear/not work
Just installed a new motherboard yesterday everything works great except for one thing , the DVD re-writer does not show in my computer and hence not working .it is showing in the bios as installed and as the 2nd boot drive ,all drives are showing as installed on sata 3.a few ideas on how to get this drive recognized would be most appreciated .
