Ram not working

I have gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 with 2 sticks of corsair vengeance 2x4g 1600 now i have bought brand new same ram make and speed when instaled does not boot up 3 bleeps tryed new ram in old slot they work fine

did not have latetist bios up dated to f9 but still have same prob

OK, so you have two sets of 8GB(2x4GB) kits there, bought at separate times. At least that what gather as I read your first post and looking at your system specs.

If you'd do the below it would be appreciated.

Install only the original set you had and in Windows while using CPU-z, click on the SPD tab and record all the numbers under Timing Table.

Then run MemTest86+ for a minimum of 6 passes on this pair.

Now install only your new set and in Windows while using CPU-z, click on the SPD tab and record all the numbers under Timing Table.

Then run MemTest86+ for a minimum of 6 passes on this pair.

Also check, if not set in bios already, if a Command Rate of 2 makes a diff.
