GA-Z77X-D3H and game freezes

Sorry for repost.
Intel Core i5-3570K, Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H (BIOS F16/F17f), Hynix DDR3 1333MHz 2x4Gb, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti and Sound Card PCI-E x1:
Asus Xonar or Creative Creative X-Fi Titanium


I installed sound card to PCIEX4 --> game freezes
Remove sound card -> fine
Reinstall Windows 7, connect sound card to PCIEX4 -> freezes
Replace sound card with friends Creative sound card -> freezes


Its not allowed to use PCI-E x16 slots for PCI-E x1?!

Do you have the same problem or is it a defective motherboard?

are those the latest beta bios's youve tried? it should work fine in the 16x slot

Was F16 when i discover the problem.
F17f didn't solve this problem (or probably less - but i didn't notice any significant difference)
I decided not to check on F17g because its marked as "buggy" GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS

I don't know where the problem is: bios / my mobo / all those mb.

could try setting pci/peg to gen 2 in the bios under peripherals,see if that has any effect,ive sold my xonar dx so i cant test it for you on my board,i should update my sig

Was watching my logs, screens and discovered an interesting thing: my bus speed min-max was 70-106 by HW tool. In BIOS it was set to auto or at least 100 when i try to OC.

^{Mobo returned from seller tech support. They didn't check issues with Sound card PCIEx1 in PCIEX4, just "if its boots and flash latest bios".
There was F16 when i sent to them, with F16 it returns... they epic.
So nothing changes -> game freezes.}

Checked my Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti with sound card in Asrock mobo -> no freezes

Peg Gen3 Slot configuration - checked Auto/Gen1/Gen3/Gen3 -> game freezes.

It's definitely Z77X-D3H or BIOS problem.
And according to other sites not only i have this problems.
