OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit

2 memory sticks are installed in slots dimm1 and dimm2 as per mobo manual. cpuz amd hwinfo list different slots; 3&4 and 2&3 respectively. As a side note on my 4 other computers the slots are enumerated correctly when I run these 2 programs.

So the problem is I can't get the speed of the dimms above 1366 in the bios and I don't know why. Every time I try to set the speed to 1866 or 1600 the bios halts on reboot and displays an error message stating the overclocking caused boot failures and resets the speed back to 1366. In the bios I have set the speed manually and using the predefined profiles all to the same result.

Has anyone else had this problem and what am I doing wrong?

BTW I bought these sticks because they were on the very short list of tested memory. Teach me to play it safe.

set it to 1866mhz again and look for dram voltage and set that to 1.55v or 1.65v

can you do 1600mhz? or 1800mhz? dram must be 1.55 or 1.6 or 1.65v for those speeds though

If they're set using the XMP Profile take them off and manually set the timing, speed, CR, and voltage for both sticks. All other memory settings left at Auto or Default.

(odd I find these conflicting tRas from Corsair. IIRC from my AMD OC days tRas equals (9+10+9=) 28 +/- 1 so would be good for 27)

You might also set their voltage to 1.55 here to test though I'd shoot for 1.5 using a tRas of 27. That tRas of 24 is IMO low and could be what your bumping heads with when it's rebooting and the proceeding failed error msg.
