It is my understanding that the unlocked K processors don't support it, the locked ones do. I didn't think it was a function of the chipset. Check Intel ARK for CPU specs, K series don't support VT-d.

The GA-Z77-D3H motherboard supports VT-d according to its manual.
But according to Intel's spec sheet:
http://ark.intel.com/products/64024/Intel-BD82Z77-PCH
the Intel Z77 chipset doesn't support it.
Does the motherboard really support it?

I'm well aware that the K processors don't support VT-d. My understanding is that cpu, chipset and BIOS need to support VT-d to be able to use it.
So the question remains:
Does GA-Z77-D3H fully support VT-d (when used with a compatible processor) even though Intel claims the Z77 chipset doesn't support it?
Or does it only partially support VT-d, only passing a subset of the 50 tests in the VT-d validation suite?
My board (Z77X-UP5 TH) supports VT-d in the BIOS under chipset option.
What is this VT-d validation suite? I'd assume it either supports VT-d or doesn't. I know the Q series chipsets are suppose to all have VT-d support.
If you can point me to this validation software I can check my board.

I have only seen mentions of it, never a download link. Here it is discussed that it failed Asus Z77 boards and Asus therefore don't include VT-d support:
