    Default x79s-up5 - i7-3930k and windows 8

    Hello,

I have recently upgraded to windows 8.1 .... Well don't ask why, just did.

However I seem to be having problems OCing my cpu now with a modifying x44 turbo off and EIST disabled

I am able to get into windows when I initially set these OC settings, just like I had when I used windows 7, however after I turn my PC off and the next day turn it back on, it fails to load windows and It takes me straight to a window called boot failure detected.

-The system has experienced a boot failure possibly due to incorrect configuration. Previous settings in BIOS may not be compatible with current hardware state. followed by 3 options:
    -Load optimized defaults then boot
    -Load optmized defaults then reboot
    -Enter BIOS

Tried looking around for a solution but can't figure it out.

Oh also, either I'm slow on news but wheres gigabyte's 3D bios gone? Haven't seen it in the F4 or F5a bios.

Thank you all for your help.

Rolling back to bios F4u allows me to overclock without having to reset it at every boot, however none of the power saving features work when the cpu is at idle load.
