Printer Slow And Pausing

Hi all

Im having the same problem on 3 separate machines running 3 different printers. Basically over the last 2 weeks the printers have just slowed down completely take 2-3 times longer per page. Sometimes if not all the time they just pause for about 5-10 seconds about 3 times per page then continue printing at the slow speed.

Previous to this they all printed fine with no worries.. All the printers are on USB 1 is a lexmark and 2 are Hewlett packards.


Any help would be great as im stumped on this one.

You didn't give any specs, but I'm sure they are all "Win-printers". That means that they are totally dependent on the computer's processing power and ram. If there are random slowdowns, it is almost always another process running in the background, competing for ram and cpu cycles.
