upgrading to 8GB ram and my system freezes on OS startup

(this might be a re post as i'm not sure if i posted successfully before)

Hey I have been trying to solve this problem for days, but have been having no luck.

What I did: I bought mushkin silverline 4GB(2x2GB) DDR2 800mHz CLS DIMM and installed it into my computer along side my OCZ 4G (the OCZ in yellow and the Mushkin in red)

What Happens: The OS attempts to boot and then crashes before getting past the splash screen

What I assume: I can have two sets of non paired RAM as long as they are installed on their corresponding color matching channel

What I have Tried: the new memory alone : works, The old memory alone: works, all memory together and upping voltage on the (g)MCH and FBS and DDR : still fails to load on OS startup.

can anyone help me? are these chips just incompatible? I'm pulling out my hair over this.

Mixing different memory brands and/or model numbers can be iffy at best.
What cpu and memory speeds were you using when running with only 2 memory modules?

Copy the P35 bios template in Gigabyte BIOS Templates (To Give Us Your Settings), post #4 into NotePad or a plain text editor, fill in the settings that failed and post your settings. Ignore any settings that are in the template and fill in all of the settings. Your system might be stable with somewhat lower memory speeds.

Include links to each memory kit's specifications on the Mushkin and OCZ websites.

You should test your settings using Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool freeware before booting into windows and then run an extended stress test using Prime95 once you are able to boot into windows.
The Mestest86+ download links are in the middle of their web page and you can create a bootable CD, USB, or floppy for testing, depending on which download you select.

I'm using 4 x 2GB of HyperX T1 1066MHz memory in my P35-DS3L system.
