I am using a local cable service. It is rated at 3000Kb/sec down and 256Kb/sec up.

I use Cox Cable. Our service was recently a 1000/128 service, but they spent some money getting the city rewired with new fiber. Since then, they upped the speeds to their current 3000/256 limits. I'm in Amarillo and I believe that Cox also provides these same speeds to Lubbock as well, but that is all the info I have on localities and their respective speeds.
