Optus do not offer ADSL to residential users because Telstra charge them a bloody fortune to use their exchanges. Look at all the other ADSL providers in AUS - they have a miserly 1GB or so cap for more than Hel$tra charges for a 3GB cap. In fact, the ACCC is investigating Hel$tra for that because they are selling their service cheaper to retail users than their wholesale customers....... go figure (monpolistic if you ask me)

At least I'm with Optus so I'm safe
