    I used the grub-dfe ISO and a retail 10.5.4 disk to install, and boot-turbo-munky.bin bootloader. Most of the drivers (except sound) are Apple; I had to do the "EFI string" hack for the video card and DSDT edits to get the HPET working.

    There's lots of info over at InfiniteMac.com, but it does take a while to wade through. Good luck.
