G.Skill seems to play nice with this board. You will have to raise the voltage to get them to run at 1066. Just ordered the 'P' version myself and am hoping my Patriot 8500 get's along with it. Good luck with your build. Chuck
....building my own intel pc :P.
I have been bought a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R as an incentive (my choice though) and propose the following:-
E8500 E0 (been offered one cheaper than a E8400 :) )
Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler
The thing I am not sure about is memory,I have a choice of the following three:-
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Platinum Series DDR2 (OCZ2P10664GK)
G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-8500C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK)
Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C6 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX8500AD2K2/4G)
I believe I could use pc2-6400,but have been offered one of the above sets, and the board supports pc2-8500,so why not?
My questions are:
Will the board be ok with any of the above sets,or would one be better/more compatible than the others,If you use or have used any of these please share your experience.
From a first start up scenario, will I need to change any settings in the bios for this memory (think they range 2.0v-2.1v-2.2v,don't really understand all that) or will the m/board do it automatically?
I am trying to make sure that the memory I buy is 100% compatible, tried & true with this board so if you recommend something else please let me know.
Thanks in advance, all help is appreciated....

Any of the first two would bo fine
AVOID like the plauge any thing Kingston and most certainly the c6 modules you linked to they are not the best, and support is almost non existant, sadly :(
