  • Asrock X79 Extreme4 dr.bug error 67

    I got a Asrock X79 Extreme4 with a Intel 3930K.
The board gives a error code 67.

I don't know what i'm doing wrong or is this motherboard not good?

i have 2 memory modules on the IO panel side,
I have no harddrives or something else connected.
    My monitor gives no image.

I wont get in the bios
My vga i have tried in other pc, it worked in that.
I have tried the vga in a other slot in the Asrock X79 E4 board, wont help.

I have cleared the cmos, with the switch and later with the jumper.

I have tried a other socket 2011 processor.
Some one a solution? Or know what there is wrong.

    Dear moeloo,

Please kindly help to check the debug code is "67" or "b7" first.

Debug code shows "67", it maybe related to CPU.
Please kindly re-install the CPU and check whether the CPU socket is fine.

If debug code shows "b7", it maybe related to memory.
    1. Please re-install CPU, memory and VGA card to try.
    2. Please check whether two sticks memory are installed to DDR3_A1 and B1 slot.
    3. Install a stick memory to DRAM_A1 slot by turns to check two sticks memory and memory slot are fine.
    4. Install a stick memory to DRAM_B1 slot by turns to check two sticks memory and memory slot are fine.
    5. Only install the necessary device of system to try again. ( CPU, a stick memory and VGA card)

    Thanks!

    Have a nice day
    ASRock TSD
    Emily

Did you ever get this figured out? I get the same error with my new ASRock Extreme6 and a 3930K.

        Hi,

I am having a similar problem though slightly different system. I am getting a b7 code with the following conf.

X79 Ext. 4, e5-2620, evga gtx480, kingston kvr1066D3Q8R7SK2 16 GB (ECC) kit (2x8GB). I am wondering if this MOBO is compatible with my RAM. My bios version is 1.80. Any updates will be appreciated.

        thanks

Ended up getting RAM that was on ASRock's comparability list for my board and the new RAM worked like a charm. It was a bit of a pain to find RAM (I wanted a 32GB matched set) but other, smaller sets weren't too hard to find.

I re-seated the memory, still no joy. Shoved the CPU, GOT IT. IT WORKS
