• GTX560 & USB 3.0 BSoD

Hi All
I Purchased 3 x Gigabyte GTX 560 GV-N56GSO-1GI Video Cards for 3 Systems
1 has a GA-H77-D3H-MVP Main Board and the 2 others have the GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3(rev 1.0 & 1.3 Main Boards.
the GA-Z68's Had a GB gt550ti & a GB GT450 with no issues.

Now if usb3.0 is enabled and any device is plugged into the 3.0 ports on the back they blue screen with a 'irq not equal error'.

The GA-H77 system is brand new and was built with the card.

Both the other systems had the Nvidia Drivers removed before installing.
Driver version is 301.42 tho given the BSoD Code I Suspect this issue would happen with any driver version.

Has anyone else experienced this Issue ?

Re: GTX560 & USB 3.0 BSoD

Are all motherboards running the most recent bios version?
Check http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...beta-bios.html to see if there is a newer beta bios available for each motherboard.
Did you install the usb 3.0 drivers from the motherboard CD?
Have you checked to see if there is a newer usb 3.0 driver available from Gigabyte or the usb OEM web site?
When you removed the old Nvidia drivers, did you also use Driver Sweeper to remove any remaining Nvidia leftovers?
Did you download and install the correct Geforce driver versions for your operating system and video card?

Sometimes a specific driver version has issues with some video cards.
Try download a slightly older Nvidia driver version and see if the problem remains.

Re: GTX560 & USB 3.0 BSoD

The 1st system was a brand new board no new anything for it :(
There wasn't any previous Nvidia Drivers installed

Im not installing beta BIOS on the other 2 that's crazy talk!
Nvidia drivers where completely removed on these 2 prior to installing new cards.
There's no New Etron 3.0 Drivers :(
Its Clear That Both The Etron USB 3.0 And Video Cards Want The Same IRQ And One Of Them Doesn't Want To Share!
I will try The Older Driver
Many Thanks For the Reply!

any memory remapping option in bios? try with it enabled/disabled see if it makes a difference,be sure to use the very latest etron drivers and beta bios wouldnt hurt, they are 100% safe to use and contain latest fixes months before they appear on gigabytes website, plus you can always flash back to previous bios version if it doesnt cure things

heres latest etron usb3 driver

Re: GTX560 & USB 3.0 BSoD

Run System Information from the start menu.
Expand Hardware Resources and check:
• Conflicts/Sharing
• Forced Hardware
• IRQs
looking for errors.
IRQ sharing is normal and the BSOD message does not necessarily mean that there is an IRQ conflict.
Check out the BSOD error code at Bug Check Code Reference (Windows Debuggers).
BSOD 0xA is not due to IRQ sharing issues.

And your assumption based on what? The fact this happen on 3 different systems which the only thing they have in common is the card and driver?
Don't assume.

2 of the systems where identical! diff revision main board but same hardware on both.
I have since replaced a video card in 1 of the identical systems with a gigabyte gts 670 and the problem went away. no blue screens usb3 ports all work.
