first thanks for all the good information here
i'm having some problems with my GA-EP45-UD3P and i'm thinking about been a bios problem
my onboard sound is not recognized by windows... it just appear nothing, not just a driver problem which shows in driver manager
i solved this problem once but i can't remmember how i did... all i can remember is that i did crazy things
including flash the bios with the same version i had then as soon as i boot i get into bios and read optimezed... but this happens some years ago and now i decide to "revive" my old board(it was kept since i jump to a new platform) because i got a Q9550 and i want to test this child...LOL
so i'm thinking about do this process to let backup bios be copied to the mains just to check is there is some problem with that or is just my imagination
i'm scared to short this 5-6 pins... is there any risks on this process?
just to make sure i understand...
i short 5-6 and turn on the computer(case Power On swtich) and i release the short? or i keep the short until it decide do copy the backup to the main?
thanks in advance i'm just scared to make this process
if you guys have another advice for me please let me know
and yes i already try to clear cmos, and get the new drivers for the sound, all that stuff
and just for the record i had this problem before and i manage to fix taht... just can't remember how i did
