  • Boot Problem Drive Order ?????

I have one 120gb SSD Boot Drive on Port 0, one 240gb SSD with Programs on it on Port 1, and one 1TB HDD on a Port that shows as Sata M ?. Everytime I reboot the computer it wants to default to the HDD to boot and therefore Will Not Boot because it can't find a Boot Manager. Everytime I have to go into the Bios and disable the other drives and make the 120gb SSD Boot Drive - Boot Option # 1 for it to boot into windows. and he is not sure why it does this. His name is Chad This is most disconcerting as this is a brand new build and I can't be going into the Bios everytime I need to shut down or reboot the computer. This is a work computer that my living depends on so I need it to function properly. Details Of The Build Below. Would really appreciate any help or suggestions. Jim

Go to BIOS > BIOS features > hard drive BBS priorities then make sure the boot option 1 is the bootable drive

Also if you have your HDD plugged into the top grey ports, those two are Marvel and need the Marvel driver loaded. Since you have your SSD's on the SATA III (white) ports, move the HDD down to one of the black ports and see if you have less/no problems.

        GA Z77X UD5H WB

Problem resolved - had to move the Optical Drive to the GSATA 3 Ports 6-7

Also moved the HDD to a SATA 2 Port. Now boots to windows, thanks all !!!
