  • GA-X79-UD5 on F13k bios can't run DDR3 at rated speeds?

Hey guys, running a set of F3-2400C10D-16GTX on GA-X79-UD5 - F13k latest beta bios. I can't get past 1866mhz without system not posting / booting. I get never ending boot cycle or black screen. Once I drop down to 1866mhz it's fine again. I have tried XMP profiles 1.0 and 2.0 and also manually setting the ram, no joy either way. Anything above 1866mhz and it's no boot..

Any suggestions on how to reach it's 2400mhz speed, could a future bios unlock the full ram speed?

Thans for any help / advice, thankyou.

      Tried 2133 @ 12 12 12 12, no joy, 2400 @ XMP, 1.0 or 2.0.. Set IMC to 1.1, set dram volt to 1.65 1.66.. No change. My previous set could run @ 2133mhz XMP no problem.

Maybe this is a bios thing? The ram is much newer than the mobo. Is it possible an update will let it run full speed?

        try 12,12,12,30 timings and 1.55v dram 1.10v qpi/vtt

you might need to wait for bios's to catch up that better support that model of memory
