After an hour or so of playing a game I shut down the pc. After a while (about 1 hour)I noticed the OS was hung up on the screen "shutting down". So I hit the power switch to force the pc to shut down. That happend about once every 25 shutdown on my rig. I tried to start the pc again without success.
I do get one short beep but then nothing happens. All the 6 phase led lights on the mobo are continuesly on. When the pc used to work, these phase lights were randomly going from green to amber to red indicating the CPU is loading the OS.
All the fans do work. The keyboard seems to work since the caps lock and num lock light will come on when I hit that key.
I did remove the cmos battery for about 2 minutes, no change.
When i depress the reboot switch on my case, the pc will continuesly try to boot and then shut down and then try to boot again in an endless loop with no post beep at all. I have to remove the CMOS battery to clear the CMOS to get a post beep, if CMOS is not cleared, the mobo just starts and shuts down forever.
Here is what I have installed in my rig:
PSU= CORSAIR HX 1000
CPU= i5 2500k (not oc'ed) aircooled by noctua
RAM= 2x 4gb gskill DDR 3-1600 PC3 -12800
GPU= 2x GTX 275 in SLI
Case= Coolermaster HAF932
MOBO= GA-P67A-UD4 no idea which bios
Is my CPU fried or is it a mobo issue?
Thanks for help.......
