Help choosing a set of fans

Need help picking out a set of fans. Here is a list showing rpm, dba, cfm, and amps. Each fan is the same price, so price is not a issue. Naturally you would go for the best 110 cfm at 1900 rpm, but then look each fan will draw 0.53 amps. I would like to run these off the motherboard fan headers but not sure how much the motherboard puts out on it headers. Motherboard in question is the x58a-UD5 rev2.

So if the motherboard cant handle 0.53 amp then I would get the next ones down or the next ones after that. Not looking for major performance, just to keep cpu cool with maybe mild overclock if at all any.

Is static pressure important?
Are the fans for the computer case? Radiator? Cpu heatsink cooler?
I use a manual fan controller and use a modified Y-cable fan splitter cable so that I can connect the yellow wire to the mobo fan headers to monitor individual fan speeds.

Several years ago, Lsdme posted that 3 amps was the recommended maximum for each fan header.
Recent posts for newer boards quoted that Gigabyte tech support now recommends 1 amp maximum for each fan header.

I take it that rig isn't under water? Opinions on fans are numerous, as you well know. Also do you want 120mm or ?
I have two different fans in my new rig, the Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120 1225C12B5AP15 on the radiators and the Swiftech Helix for 3 of the case fans. The AP15 has good static pressure and is a quiet fan. The Helix isn't bad but not as quiet as the AP15 above 1200 rpm. The AP15 is one of the best fans out there still, but they are expensive which is why I waited so long to buy them.

(Yes, profJim, thanks to you I've increased my knowledge about fans exponentially and even make my own wiring harnesses)

Cougar Vortex is a good fan, they come in pwm and 3 pin flavors but the color isn't the best. They move a lot of air for a case fan. I have both but the color.......
The XSPC fans are OK, the ones they send with their radiator kits.
Good old Yate Loon D12SH-12 High Speed fans are pretty good and are cheap, if not super quiet.
There is a new fan out that has a lot of research behind it, made in Germany but I can't remember name right now.
Noiseblocker gets the vote from some people.

Don't know about that board, the newer ones Gigabyte says 1A headers, at least that is what they told me for my Z68XP-UD3 & Z77X-UD5H boards.

Thanks guys for your inputs. Yes I forgot to mention that the system will be air cooled not water cooled. I will be turning the system into a media server. The fans will be for the CPU only or I could buy a couple more for the case if need be.

Yate Loon D12SH-12 - these are the fans that I am using on my radiator currently. I thought about those but was looking at these Scythe fans.

Yes I will be sticking with 120mm fans. I am not looking for anything fancy just something that will keep cpu cool and maybe salvage and use somewhere else down the road if need be.

Thanks ProfJim and Boon, I thought the max rating was around 1 amp I just could not remember.

With a push/pull cpu cooling setup the 68 cfm or 88 cfm fans should be more than adequate.
With a decent case cooling fan setup either of these fans should be fine.
110 cfm would be much louder and overkill, especially for a media server.
Keep in mind that the 110cfm fan noise might be much louder if they don't under-volt as well as the 68 or 88 cfm fans.

If you have some fans on the rig with radiators you don't particularly like (noisy, whatever) you could pull those off and put on the other rig and replace them with AP15's. I love my Gentle Typhoons, they are a quiet fan. (to me). My other rig has the Yate Loons and they are OK and priced right but definitely noisier.
I think my AP15's were around $15-16 at Sidewinders.
