How do I delete a CMOS profile I don't want?

I've studied a few of the threads here but the results are mixed. I saved this blasted thing to the CMOS and now I can't delete it. If I remove the battery would that remove the profile? And if not, how do I do what some are suggesting and OVERWRITE the thing when I can't even find out how to edit it? Thanks all.
