  • Sabertooth Z170 mark 1 RAM compatibility

I have a question about the memory overclocking as I just got this sabertooth z170 board and am currently looking for RAM for it and are seeing people having issues all over the place with dimms over 2800. For the person reviewing the board, were they able to simply boot up the machine with the ram plugged in or did they have to tweak it before they could even get the system to recognize it?

I would love to have some 3000 speed RAM but NewEgg has told me that if the package is open (and the RAM doesn't work) I have to pay a restocking fee.

    I was looking at:
    G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C14D-32GVK - Newegg.com

seems like good speed and low CAS but not being a professional I was wondering if this board can run this kit pretty easily and/or thru the bios menu or will it take hours of testing and tremendous expertise for the system to recognize it?

    Thanks

    Ben
