cant access my BIOS

hey guys i recently started building my first pc and all was going well until i tried to boot up.. i get as far as the post screen and press delete and it says "prepare to enter BIOS" and then nothing happens....the screen goes blank and i gant get any further.. i am using the gigabyte x58a-ud5 rev. 2.0 with the BIOS FA. please guys i seriously need some help and any comment is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Are you using a USB Keyboard? If so try a PS/2 keyboard, if that fails try clearing the CMOS or you may need to update the BIOS.

ye im using a ps/2 but il try clearing the cmos and updating the bios, thanks for the help! :)

Clearing the CMOS should help then since you are already using a PS/2 keyboard.

If it doesn't then try updating the BIOS using Qflash

hey sorry im so laate posting back turns out it was something to do with my monitor i borrowed a freinds monitor and i could get right into everything :)
