    Default How do I overclock GA-X58A-UD3R

    I'm new to overclocking, but I have a good board to do it to. I have i7 930 on a x58a-ud3r mobo. I saw the following post where the user had a stable OC to 3.8GHz:

    Gigabyte X58A-UD3R/ I7-930 Overclocking Help

    I tried these settings and booted to Windows and ran CPUIDZ and it still said 2.8GHZ. Can someone help me with the settings I need to get this OC to a good speed?

    Motherboard and CPU are not everything, do you also have the cooler for it?
    What memory do you have(model or part number)?
