Of course, but at what cost?
8 cores at 2.0 ghz vs 4 cores at 3.4 ghz
Looks like 8 cores would win
Of course, but at what cost?
In terms of price/performance
2 x FX-8150 or 2500k systems are best (at least with network render)
I think I've priced every combo available and still come back to the 3930k.
Overclocked and with good cooling of course.

From what I saw (1 video) you can get around 14 in Cinebemch at 4.8GHz.
If you need everything on one machiIfne It's robably the best you can get today.
If 16GB memory is all you need, there is the cheap s4GB amsing DDR-1600 everyone buys now and OC quite well to 2133 and beyond with decent latency. Which is the exact model you will have to lookup yourself.
I'm running at 4.4ghz with 62c average by Core Temp while doing my 14hr render.
I don't think there anything more that can be done with this 2500k system without water cooling etc...
Even when have a hot chick... after a while you want a hotter one.
Such is life
Nothing will happen to it if it got to 70c or even more.
Try to ask Corsair about a backplate for the H80, I am sure it's possible to get one.
Or AMD fanatic fan than can give/sell it to you.
Search the GIGABYTE forum and/or the internet for the H80 diode mod if this may be the case with your H80. Its a simple mod with one diode that makes it quieter, one guy was looking to sell the extra diodes he had.
Yes, I'm going to try to attach the H80.
Ok,
I got H80 wired on and the CM 212 on the backside.
5.6ghz and 72c at 1.44vcore
