Down Timing a Mushkin Ram Kit

Hi,

I need some clarity on a RAM upgrade I am trying to do.

I currently have in my system Mushkin 998983 Radioactive 6GB 1600MHz
Timings 6-9-7-24

I was looking to add another 6gb to my system however the Identical RAM is proving impossible to find (unless anyone knows of a good site)

As a secondary I am looking at Mushkin 998826 Ridgeback 6GB 1600Mhz
Timings 6-8-6-24

As you can see the timings are actually better on the second kit.

Is it safe/stable/advised that I drop the Ridgeback timings to match the Radioactive timings or am I tempting fate with a memory burn out?

Note: I'm using the EVGA Classified 3 Mobo 141-GT-E770-A1

Mixing different memory brands or models is iffy at best.
Sometimes buying an identical kit can cause problems, especially if the manufacturer uses different chips in each memory batch.
Running with memory timings lower than the "guaranteed" settings in the SPD (from cpu-z or MemSet) shouldn't be a problem.
You might need to under-clock both memory kits somewhat for a stable system.
Another option is to buy a single 6 module kit or possibly two identical 3 module kits and then sell your current memory.
