  • What memory do you recommend?

Planning on making a less powerful computer for a friend of mines mom. The mobod is the ASUS M2N-E Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 Ultra MCP ATX AMD along with the x2 4600 brisbane. What memory would you suggest to work the best with NO overclocking at all. Would the 800 be best?

With no overclocking at all, I'd co with PC2 5300 (DDR2 533) since the 4600+ Brisbane's 11.5 CPU multi will cause the ram to run slower anyways.

Agreed. DDR2 533 would be sufficient, and DDR2 667 would be the absolute most I'd get. I don't know that I'd touch an AMD platform with DDR 2 800. It's just wasteful.
