I was a fun of Dlink before, I like its easy configuration. Now I am working with TPLink its also easy to set up and good connection. I recommend it.

There is a difference in brands. Some have a terrible breakdown record.

Best and most stable wireless router?

It's true that dual-band (5Ghz and 2.4Ghz) wireless routers give you the most options by supporting virtually any wireless client/adapter on the market. However, single-band (2.4Ghz) routers will do just fine if you don't use them in area saturated with Wi-Fi signals. On the other hand, if you still have a Wireless-G (802.11g) router, it's definitely time to upgrade to a Wireless-N router or access point. Wireless-N (Draft N 2.0) routers are now affordable and offer much better coverage as well as throughput speed, capable of streaming HD content. The routers on this page are all Draft N 2.0 routers, some of them are dual-band while the others are single-band. They are among the best we reviewed this year.

Re: Best and most stable wireless router?

Linksys has been around, and what's more important is what hardware is picking up the signal. You can have a 40.00 router and have a bad link because of the network adapter in your system.

Re: Best and most stable wireless router?

I just replaced my router yesterday, after a lot of shopping. At first, I thought I'd get Asus ac66ubbut the released a new ac68n.
i've had good luck with Linksys but all the rage has been over Asus.
pmce I got to Amazon's reviews- there were so many problems with all Asus, &then discovered that Cisco sold Linksys toBelkin & when firmware requires update, I'd an inferior product,
at that point, because I wanted the 3 antennae appearance, wanted to void Asus & Linksys,& ha read many fine reviews for Netgear R7000-that's what I got.- it's the ac (I wanted to be ahead of products so ac
today it" been recordbreakingyfast. Router is in basement my testing has been in bedroom n 3r fb floor. E have closed rooms with plaster walls.
lat test via Speedtst.ne showed 41.44download Mbps, 11.41 upload Mbps, ping was between 21 & 106.

i apologize for errors in typing- had cataract surgery today, ave eyepatch, blurry vision slept too much today,&just registered. I hope you can make out meaning I spent long time shopping & ruling out. I'm surprised Ididn't get Linksys but now not reliable. Some ordered as Linksys arrived in Belkin box! Good luck!
