  • easytune 6 issues

Hey all I'm having some issues with getting easytune 6 to run on my system, I dont want to do any overclocking I just want to use it for its fan control features,

I've got a fresh brand new install of windows but when I try and run easytune6 I get the following error message : "The CPU or Memory isn't supported!!"

Anyone know how to fix this?

Same here with the latest one (2011.01.31) , when I start it on W7x64-SP1:

After pressing OK, it does run normal albeit the CPU is not identified correctly:

It seems like the cpu name is determined by the multiplier and not by the actual cpu name string?

            Yep, same issue also.

However the non intel one worked ok on my intel chip,

Strange eh, amd version works fine on intel chip, but intel one doesent.

Latest though, is with w7 64 bit and sp1, i have to uninstal et6 as it causes all steam games to fail and my tv card fails in media center.

Just have to wait for gigabyte to catch up on newer chips/memory compatibility ect, would be good if you could email them directly stating the exact models of your memory/tv cards ect that its not recognizing so they c!n fix it in future releases

                Re: easytune 6 issues

It worked fine on earlier builds up to B10.0728.1 for my cpu/mem it's just the new versions messing up, since B10.1024.1 it's gone south... first the cpu detection and smart page messed up, then they fixed the smart page, but cpu detection remained off, and now added the unsupported cpu/mem message with the latest one ...

Seems like not much testing is done, just quickfixes for new stuff, forgetting the old... it's fine with me if only specific versions work with certain sersies of boards, but then it should not be presented as a general tool. If they want to do so, at least test it with the hardware it's supposed to work for.

Strange eh, amd version works fine on intel chip, but intel one doesent.
it does not error, but cpu is detected by multi as in the screen posted earlier.
