I have a problem with my GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 ver 1.3, F10 bios system running Windows 8 with a ATI HD-7700 video card and Samsung 830 SSD. When the monitor turns off via the energy saving mode or the computer tries to enter the sleep mode, I am unable to wake the computer up. I have updated the drivers using the drivers from the Gigabyte web site. I have also updated the video drivers from the AMD site. Any ideas on what the issue is?
I also tried upgrading the BIOS to UEFI without luck. I tried booting to DOS using a Norton Ghost disk and then running the autoexec file from the BIOS file. I keep getting a message that it can't find FLASHEFI.EXE even thought the file is on the disk. What is the best way to update to UEFI? How do you create a bootable USB drive in Windows 8?
