Problem with Cosair XMS3 and ASRock g41c-gs

I have bought a Single Dim from Cosair and wanted to install it ... i had got two DDR2 Dims in my System with 4 GB Ram and removed them because of my new RAM XMS3 from Cosair ... it has got 8 GB RAM and the problem is that my pc doesn't start ... the powerlights are on and all fans run but the screen stays black... what can be the problem ?

It would be very kind when you can help me..

Hi,you say you have a single 8Gb stick of ram, the motherboard supports 8Gb max, but only as 2x4Gb sticks, a single 8Gb stick will not work, sorry.
