  • Asrock Z87 Professional - Fatal1ty mouseport clarification please (Windows 8)

I would like some clarification about Fatality mouse port on Z87. Anandtech review lists the Fatality mouse port as a USB 2.0 port. AnandTech | ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional Review - IDE and Floppy on Z77 Asrock website for the product says about the Fatality mouseport: *Limitation: 2. The Fatal1ty mouse port does not support USB 2.0 mouse. (1) So Anandtech says the Fatality mouseport is a USB2.0 port, yet the Asrock website says "it does not support USB2.0 mice" - Im confused as to why a USB2.0 port can't support USB2.0 mice, is this misinformation about this board ? please clarify. (2) Can someone from Asrock (or anyone who has this board) please clarify if it is possible to overclock the USB polling rate of the Fatality mouseport in Windows 8 using F-stream using a normal USB2.0 mouse? (I know it works in Windows 7 , BUT does it work in WINDOWS 8? Please confirm)

Update: I received confirmation from ASRock Support Dept. that it does work with USB 2.0 (full-speed) mice. They sent me a picture showing the 500Hz operating in Windows 8.

I now also own the board and indeed it works as they said it would.
