  • Gigabyte Utilities

I noticed Gigabyte has updated versions of 2 utilities for my GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0).
    Smart Recovery2 and AutoGreen.
I'm wondering if many of you folks are using these and what features and function you like or hate about either.
    thanks!

    Re: Gigabyte Utilities

Well it looks like Smart Recovery2 is a back-up solution.
I'm using cloud (Backblaze) and incrementals for work document backups, Microsoft back-up for OS,etc. So I guess Smart Recovery2 would be redundant

      Re: Gigabyte Utilities

I'm using a similar setup as yourself... Win7's Windows Backup for the OS and my docs are sync'd with my SkyDrive account... no need for Smart Recovery

I don't have any use for the AutoGreen feature, I'm not a huge fan of BT.

Sorry I can't give you any other information.

Thanks, that's really the type answer I was looking for.
It does look like Autogreen is just a blutoothe solution, not what I expected from the name (maybe GreenTooth or AutoBT would be a better name).
I just don't have the time to track down every piece of info on all the "features" of the multitude of software and hardware solutions I employ, so
        Thanks Again!

          Re: Gigabyte Utilities

my issue with BT is it's another antenna that will help kill my Cell battery for what 1-2 devices... I use my phone as a phone and need it to work

I turn the BT on my Phone ON only when I need it... Transfer Images, Take/Receive a call... Otherwise it just kills my battery too quick.
