Hi,
Hoping for some help. I have a new 939A785GMH board (replaces an old Gigabyte board with bad caps). Using my original 4400+ CPU with a new Arctic Freezer 7Pro Rev 2.0. GT610 graphics card and 4Gb RAM.
I have CPU-Z and Prime95 for stability testing. CPU-Z link here for my full spec. Currently I'm using the 'Optimized' setting in the bios 'OC Tweaker' but haven't touched anything else. I did try upping the CPU clock at no more than stock voltage (max. 1.4v) but Prime95 fell over on Core 0 very quickly.
Really not sure what to do next so I'd appreciate some advice. I don't have any great ambitions for extreme overclocking but I'd like to squeeze a bit more out of it whilst maintaining good stability. Just searching around I can see that some folks have this CPU up to around 2.6 Ghz but I can't seem to achieve close to that and get successful tests in Prime95.
CPU-Z Validator 3.1
Many thanks.
