  • Windows 8? 8.1 Event Log Error caused by Sleep Mode

I am getting this Event Log Error on the GA-Z77X-UD5H/3570K system whenever the system enters sleep mode. I have almost the same software configuration on an ASRock Z77 OC Formula/3770K system and it does not get this error. A number of people have posted this issue on the Microsoft forums. Both systems are running Windows 8.1.

"The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S4). This can result in reduced resume performance."

Has someone in the Gigabyte world figured out how to make this Error go away? Is it a BIOS issue? I'm running F14 do I need a newer Beta one?

I've had this exact issue ever since installing Win 8 on my Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3. An update to Win 8.1 did not help. I'm running the latest U1e UEFI. I've spent countless hours looking for a fix and trying anything that looked promising without finding the cure. This computer seems to work as it should, but the Event 137 in the viewer is irritating.
I look forward to seeing if this thread generates any ideas.
