  • CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i--Replacing the stock fans

I'm going to purchase this liquid cooler and I would consider replacing the stock fans. With the idea of getting a set of fans of equal or greater quality but a different look, would any 120mm fans work with this set up? What parameters would I need to be aware of outside of CFM?
    Thanks

Re: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i--Replacing the stock fans

From the Corsair web page for your H100i
      • Radiator dimensions: 120mm x 275mm x 27mm
      • Fan dimensions: 120mm x 120mm x 25mm
      • Fan speed: 2700 RPM (+/- 10%)
      • Fan airflow: 77 CFM
      • Fan dBA: 37.68 dBA
      • Fan static pressure: 4mm/H20

You should buy replacement fans with the same or higher static pressure fan rating.
You should also read fan reviews that accurately report the performance and noise level of the new fans.

Installing four identical fans in a push/pull setup should provide 2 - 3o(C) better cooling or you might get the same cooling performance with somewhat lower fan speeds and noise levels. You should also confirm that the H100i with 2 or 4 fans will fit without any interference issues.

In HARDOCP - Corsair Hydro Series H80i and H100i CPU Cooler Review they report:
