Re: overclock ep45-ud3p
We need detailed information about ALL OF THE HARDWARE in your system.
We can best help you after you create a detailed hardware list in the System Specs
portion of your forum profile at the bottom of the profile page or in your forum signature.
Be sure to include brand names and model numbers.
When you are done editing or creating your hardware list, save the settings.
Are you using the stock Intel cpu cooler? If not, what is the brand name and model number of your cpu cooler?
You need to include the full brand name and model number of your memory kit in your PC Specs.
What is the model number of your Coolmax power supply?
I've only seen two Coolmax psu reviews and both of the reviews said that the reviewed power supplies were terrible.
A good place to start is to read and understand the basic concepts in the http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ing-guide.html thread. The first 10 posts in the thread are important, but you're free to read some of the additional posts. Don't worry about mastering all the details. You kneed to understand the following topics: FSB, cpu multiplier, and system memory multiplier and how they are related. You will also need to do some stress testing to ensure that your overclocked system is stable.
The recommend bios settings in http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...tml#post295784, post #5 are a good starting point with your system using stock settings.
It will help if you copy the bios template in the thread and use a plain text editing program such as Notepad to accurately fill in your bios settings before you start overclocking. Run a 3 - 6 hour Prime95 Blend test and post your bios settings and results. It is very important that you keep detailed notes about all of your overclock attempts and you will need to post detailed results each time your overclock fails. It does no good to say it didn't work, it wouldn't post or you got a blue screen.

Re: overclock ep45-ud3p
Are you using the stock cpu cooler that came with your cpu?
If you are using an aftermarket cooler, what is the brand name and model number of your cpu cooler?
Please post a cropped screen-shot similar to the attached image.
To duplicate the information, run four cpu-z windows at one time using the following cpu-z tabs:- CPU
- Mainboard
- Memory
- SPD
Do not upload a complete screen-shot of your desktop, just include the four cpu-z windows.
CPU-Z CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting FAQ and information
CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting cpu-z version 1.69 download
