Re: Unknown USB (Device Decriptor Request Failed)

    Try the below Answer:

unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed)
#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.

#2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.

Re: Unknown USB (Device Decriptor Request Failed)

Thanks for the link. It was very informative and gives direction. So thanks again. Simple solution to this is just uninstall the offending NON CONNECTED devices. Open Computer Management, Click Device Management, View, Show Hidden Devices, right click on offending device, uninstall. To do a refresh and make sure it does not come back, right click on your computer name at the top and scan for hardware changes. All should be gone.
      Kind regards,
      Saxamo

Exactly. "USB selective suspend setting" will also help keeping ghost/non connected drives from appearing.
