I have just built a new system with the specs listed below. I'm still quite a newbie but wanted to build my own PC. Granted I am using an older GPU until I can afford to get a more newer version. The problem is when as soon as I power it on it beeps a few times (I think 2 long-ish beeps and 8 shorter) and then, after a few seconds I hear the one POST beep like its booting up like normal, however with no display on the monitor. Here is the list of things I've already tried:
I've tried removing the memory completely but the beep code changes to the code that states no memory is installed.
Tried only using one stick of RAM and swapping the sticks and slots on the motherboard.
Checked all cables are connected and snug. Which they are.
Checked graphics card in another PC. Works fine.
RMA'd the motherboard back to amazon, where I bought it. And got replacement. Same problem.
I cannot figure out what the beep code means. I have included a video to demonstrate what is happening (apologies for having it on the floor. Its in a spare room at the moment ). There is no graphics card installed in the PC in this video. However even with the graphics card installed the problem remains. If someone knows what it may be it would be greatly appreciated.
