Hello,
Is this memory (G.SKILL Trident X 32GB - F3-1600C7Q-32GTX)compatible with the ASRock Fatal1ty Z68 Professional Gen3 motherboard? On the ASRock Supported Memory list, it is not listed. However, on the GSkill website (TridentX - 32GB (8GBx4) 1.5v Dual/Quad Channel DDR3 Memory kit (F3-1600C7Q-32GTX) - G.SKILL Memory) under the the Qualified Vendor List (QVL), the motherboard is listed.
The reason I ask is because I already purchased the RAM but I am unable to get it to work. I tried using all four sticks, two sticks, one stick, and even alternating them. All resulted in severe instability of random results:
1. Computer won't boot. Monitor doesn't come on.
2. Computer won't boot. Monitor had a 2" purple bar at the top of screen.
2. Computer freezes when trying to enter BIOS or use the BOOT MENU (Unable to run Memtest via my USB Thumb Drive).
3. I was able to get into Windows twice. The first time was with four sticks plugged in. I saw that 32gbs memory was available. Shortly after, various pixels on my screen started flashing random colors in which I rebooted. The other time, the computer hard rebooted at the Windows login screen.
I'm able to enter BIOS using my current RAM (G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB - F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM) but not with the new Trident X RAM. I checked the RAM timings in BIOS and it is set on Auto. Should I manually input the timings for the Trident X RAM, turn the computer off and then install the Trident X RAM? What if that doesn't work, will I be able to revert to the Ripjaws RAM? Should I press the "CLR CMOS" button on the back of the computer first?
Anything else I could try or is the memory simply incompatible?
Computer specs:

ASUS Xonar Essence STX
Corsair 1000W Power Supply
Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit
