  • GA-Z77X-UD5H question

Hello all, I currently have a GA-Z77X-UDH5 rev 1.0 (Bios F16) running a i5 3570K processor and dual Radeon HD7770K video cards. I am looking to do a minor upgrade and am wondering if the new Intel i5 4960K will work with my current motherboard? If so will there be a increase in performance with the newer CPU running on a older bridge chipset?

Also, thinking of a Radeon R9 270x 4gb video card to replace the dual HD7770K's. Again, worth it or should I just save up money and wait until I can build a whole new machine?

    Thanks!!

    Re: GA-Z77X-UD5H question

    no its a different socket/chipset

for the 4960k to work you'll need either a z87 or z97 motherboard aswell, tbh I would stay as you are for the time being
