  • GPU 1st Build Question

My build is running a Core i7-4790K (haven't even overclocked yet) with 8GB of 2666 RAM and
so far it is handling my son's two games that he plays (Minecraft & TF2) on the highest game settings.

I haven't purchased a GPU yet and I am wondering if I picked up a EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC if
    a) there would be a noticeable difference over the CPU included graphics and
    b) if he advances to more graphic-intense games later, would this card be bottle-necking the GPU?

    Thanks!

The 960's graphics will be much better for his games than the built-in Intel graphics. As for future games, a 970 or a 980 would be best for graphics intensive titles.
An R9-290X with double or triple fan cooling is also good for graphics intensive games.
