  • DVD drive seen in Windows 8.1 but not in BIOS

Win 8.1, Z97-UD5H-BK, about three weeks installed. Have a Plextor DVD drive that's recognized by Windows. Today I cloned an SSD to another and the new one won't boot, winload.exe problem. So I want to run bootrec from a Win 8 disk, but BIOS is not recognizing the DVD drive, it's asking for a floppy (don't have a floppy drive). In BIOS set up, of maybe ten times I've just gone in to set DVD as the boot drive, it's only been there once. And it didn't boot from the DVD that time either (some of the times I've gone into BIOS setup, my other three HDDs haven't shown either, but maybe I'm not leaving enough time between reboots?). I'm at a loss. Is there another setting that might be affecting this? Thanks,

Update: Update: I got the cloned drive to boot, but since then in BIOS settings none oif the other three HDDs nor the DVD drive are being seen in BIOS Features and only two of those three HDDs (+ the system drive) are being seen in Peripherals. Everything is seen in Windows and Partition Mgr. What might be going on?
