  • Motherboard and memory compatibility problem, I guess

I bought the motherboard and CPU about ten days ago and having problems with setup: system is slow, blue upload ring spinning for long time before letting to use the mouse, can’t scroll at once, frames frieze and can’t drag them across the screen (only after a few tries). All this not happening constantly, the problems come and go, which make it more difficult to find the cause. Also, few times, after Windows updates onboard Lan stopped working. I removed the graphic card, uninstalled drivers and now using onboard video without much difference.
Any thoughts? Should I return the board or maybe wait until I get the new memory modules (DDR4 2133) ?

    System:
Gigabyte Z170-HD3P motherboard (updated bios f5)
Intel i5-6500 Skylake Quad Core Processor
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SATA III SS Drive
    G.SKIL Ripjaws DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) memory modules (I’m going to change them to mobo’s native memory standard DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000)
AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz Graphic card.
    OS Win 7, 32 bit.

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.

What is the size of each of the memory modules, that is how many GB for each ram module?
How many memory modules are installed in your system? one? two? four?

    Is OS win7, 32 bit a typo?

Are you aware that any 32 bit operating system can only access about 3.2GB of ram?

For more information, do a web search using: 32 bit os memory limitation

Download and run Memtest86+ and check to see if any of your memory modules have any errors.

Also did you do a fresh install of Windows 7, or did you just plug ssd drive in, with Windows 7 already installed from another Motherboard ?

Thank you for greeting and for your prompt response, Jim.
No, it is not a typo. I have to stick to 32 bit system for a while, because of some programs and old, but yet good devices I need to keep connected. I already bought and was planning to put the second SSD with 64bit Win 10 OS when all these things started to happen.
I have two memory modules installed: 8GB (2x4GB).

          Thanks, Fact11.
I did a clean installation on new SSD. I heard that motherboards can be very picky and sensitive memory vise, so I already have RMA for DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) and will run tests after getting DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) modules in a few days. But, I guess I can run a test now out of curiosity :)
