  • New PC - no display on a screen, 3 beeps

    Hi,
I bought and built a new computer. And when I power it on, the speaker only makes beep-beep-beep
beep-beep-beep (3 beeps) and it is still repeating. I really do not know how to fix it and I will be very greatful, if you could help me.

Re: New PC - no display on a screen, 3 beeps

    Welcome to the forum.

Your problem might be with one or both of your memory modules.

    From AMI Bios Beepcodes:

    AMI Beep Codes

3 short beeps ---> Base 64K memory failure ---> A memory failure has occurred in the first 64K of RAM. The RAM IC is probably bad

Is the memory kit's part number listed by ASRock as compatible with your motherboard?
Does Crucial list your specific memory kit as compatible with your motherboard?
If your memory kit is listed by ASRock or Crucial as compatible, see if your system boots OK with only one memory module installed.

Are each of the memory modules properly seated in the correct memory slots?
Is there any dirt or damage to the memory module's electrical contacts or the memory slots?

You might need to test with only one memory module at a time that is inserted in the correct motherboard memory slot.

Never remove or install any hardware in your system while the power supply's A.C. power cord is connected to the psu and the wall outlet.

After your system is turned off, unplug the psu A.C. power cord from the wall outlet and then press and hold the front panel on/off switch for 20 seconds to discharge residual power in your system.
