can any want tell me more about raid

so if i only have a hardisk will the hardisk be more faster or the same as the normal ide

now my problem is can i know that if i put in normal ide and raid witch is faster .i means is i only have a hardisk ..

If you have only a single drive, then you cannot set up a RAID array. It requires multiple hard drives.

But if you're asking about using a single hard drive on the RAID connectors of the motherboard, then it depends on the board. A lot of the newer ATA133 RAID connections allow you to use them in a non-RAID setup. The motherboard documentation should cover what is necessary to do this.
