Personally I prefer to use a system disk - boot disk actually, I've had occasion to use manufacturers utilities and then go through the whole process again 'cause the OS didn't recognize the partitions. Honestly, I haven't tried MaxBlast though.
I would reccomend you make at least 1 smaller partition for your Operating System, that way when you format and reinstall the OS you can keep all your data safe on other partitions.
Most folks would probably reccomend at least 4;
1 for OS (2G should do fine)
1 for Programs
1 for Data
1 small one for a swapfile
But there's a lotta' ways to get the job done, it's entirely up to you.
The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.
